This beautiful traditional renovation began with a custom library in the living room, setting the tone for the design throughout the home. Polished Mahogany by Sherwin-Williams was selected to create the rich, inviting atmosphere of a classic library. Designed as a dedicated space to display the family’s photo albums, the library combines timeless character with a meaningful personal touch. A custom rolling ladder, designed and stained in collaboration with Putnam Rolling Ladder, completes the space.
In the main living area, the existing Oriental rugs served as the foundation for the design, inspiring the color palette for the custom furniture pieces. Rich patterns, layered textures, and warm wood tones create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for gathering with family and enjoying a movie night. Throughout the home, Natural Tan by Sherwin-Williams provides a warm, cohesive backdrop, allowing the more distinctive paint colors and design details to stand out.
A Thoughtfully Reimagined Kitchen
The kitchen underwent a complete transformation, with every detail carefully considered to balance beauty and functionality. A custom island anchors the space, while bespoke cabinetry seamlessly integrates appliances and incorporates thoughtful storage solutions, including dedicated spaces for cutting boards and a pull-out spice rack tucked behind the refrigerator.
The pantry was reimagined with custom cabinetry to house small appliances, along with specially designed drawers to organize everyday essentials such as food storage containers and aluminum foil. Across the kitchen, a dedicated coffee bar features elegant glass-front cabinets, creating a beautiful display for treasured family heirlooms.
The cabinetry is finished in Wellington Green by Magnolia, paired with Taj Mahal countertops and backsplash. The combination of deep green cabinetry and natural stone brings depth, warmth, and timeless sophistication to the heart of the home.
Personalized Details Throughout the Home
The thoughtful design continues into the primary bedroom and bathrooms, where carefully selected wallpapers bring individual character to each space. Custom cabinetry enhances both beauty and functionality in the bathrooms, while updated lighting throughout the home creates a cohesive, polished finish.
From the rich tones of the living room library to the tailored details of the kitchen and the distinctive finishes in each bedroom and bathroom, this renovation reflects a balance of classic design, thoughtful craftsmanship, and personal touches that make a house feel like home.
